BROWNSTONE

Almudena is fourteen-going-on-fifteen when she’s sent to live with her estranged Spanish-speaking father for a summer. Over the course of that summer, father and daughter renovate a brownstone, build ta relationship with each other and Almudena navigates the Latin American side of her heritage for the first time.

BROWNSTONE is written by Samuel Teer and illustrated by Marina Julia. The pair have previously collaborated on a two page comic about being latinx/mixed race — it’s called MIXED.
